Double Digits

Aric is now 10 years old and yes I am always amazed at how fast time goes. Some days I wish I could go back and other days I wish I could jump forward but today we celebrate. Here are my "Top Ten" moments, thoughts and qualities of Aric.....

1. Bringing him home in the infant seat, setting him on the couch and wondering what are we supposed to do with him.

2. Thinking....man this kid eats a lot (somethings haven't changed much).

3. Watching him with his brother and knowing without a doubt that after the fighting, wrestling and messing around he loves him like no other.
4. Wondering if he would actually EVER wear clothes.

5. A definite leader of the pack.

6. Pointing to the scoreboard during any sporting event making sure EVERYONE knows when his team is ahead.....competitive to the bitter end.

7. A collector of "things"

8. Registering in his brain that he "should" be cautious or wary of certain adventures but then just going for it anyway.

9. Hunting is in his blood. Though we would love to believe that he will follow his grandpa's rule of one shot one kill we know that he has too much of his daddy and Great Uncle Gene's blood to be a part of that club.

10. Just like his father he makes me laugh each and every day.

Probably not a good idea

Aric and Cade were miraculously playing together nicely with the football outside.

Aric comes inside to ask if I could help him get down the ladder.

Ladder is down, I go back inside.

I notice the ladder on the back deck next to the house.

I find two boys trying to get the football off the roof and having a great time doing it!

Don't tell dad.
